Poem: Rock The Boat
Rock the boat,
from side to side,
you have yours,
I have mine.
Your actions,
you push to me,
through the tunnel,
of your insecurities.
I rock the boat,
back to you,
giving you action,
through the doorway of my fears.
When you’re without worries,
feeling too comfortable,
I pull back,
giving you something new to worry about.
When I run out of fears,
feeling assured that you are mine,
you make sure to gift me,
another reason to fear.
This — is how — love, goes.
For what is love with no fear of losing love?
what’s attraction without care of being replaced?
This — is how — love, grows.
I am gullible, replaceable, just like you.
So, don’t cure those insecurities, don’t lose your care.
And, I’ll hold on to my imperfections,
as I nurture my fear.
